I can't honestly say I've finished week 6; I'm really having trouble with sustained runs. I don't know if I'm truly tiring out, or just bored as hell and wanting a change. This morning, I think I was actually tired, but yesterday I think I could have run the whole 20 minutes; I was just really sick of the monotony! I think the 5k will be better because I'll have my cousin with me, and there will be lots of runners for us to interact with, and I won't wanna look like a lazy fat-ass in front of any of them!
It's the final countdown! (I sang that song to John this morning too; he finishes school THIS WEEK!!! FOR GOOD!!!!!!)
Really? John is done this week?!? That is fabulous! I think that calls for some anniversary style celebrating!
ReplyDeleteYou know, Ali, sometimes the middle part of getting t the 5K just sucks. I bet you do need a bit of a change. Where are you running? Can you get new music or new scenery?
And no matter what, when you get out there with all the runners, you are going to DESTROY that 5K. Because you are ALI! and YOU can DO IT!
Go Ali, go Ali, go! Go Ali, go Ali, go!
Maybe I should get off my buttukus and do something athletic.... You are inspiring me!
I am running at the park near my house mostly, and sometimes running at a park near work on my lunch break (which is much nicer but I hate running at lunch and being sweaty the rest of the day). I am listening to Game of Thrones book 5 because I did determine that music just doesn't do it for me whilst running, but I'm at the beginning of the book, and they are quite slow to get going. So there's that.
DeleteAnd we plan on celebrating throughout the month of December! I'm not sure what we're doing yet, but I am thinking of a party of sorts. We'll see. That may have to come in January. Maybe we can celebrate when he gets a real job!
Rest assured though, we will celebrate just the two of us LONG TIME :)
